What you'll be doing
This role will work in conjunction with global Programme Managers, Sales and Technology, in order to support project delivery to Chinese-based Automotive OEM customers. The role’s main accountabilities are to ensure
the successful delivery of each project from start to finish and support Sales during presentations of new and existing products to local Customers, ensuring clear communication among all parties involved, considering language and time-zone differences.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized and able to support multiple projects at once. She/He will help to shape the successful development and production of vehicle alarm systems and next generation telematics services in all the phases of the project, assuring the right level of support, being present on site in Customer plants.
Key accountabilities:
Project Management & Sales support :
- Identify on-site Customer project stakeholders and share with Vodafone team the updated contact list.
- Organize weekly review meetings with Customer Project Managers (PMs) and Vodafone team, updating Open Issues List.
- Distribute new Customer project documents/requests to Team and support in clarification/answering to Customer.
- Support Team discussions with Customer on all project related perspectives.
- Regular presence at Customer R&D and Production plants, to monitor on-site project activities.
- Maintain updated China Project Document repository.
- Support Global OEM Sales for communication and product presentation to existing/new China Customers.
- Facilitate communications between Vodafone Automotive and Customer teams, translating discussions, text and emails from local language to English and reverse.
- Translate documents/requests in local language from Customer teams and translate Vodafone feedbacks to Customer teams
Technology support :
- Support Technology in technical data exchanges with Customer Depts and PMs.
- Support Customer R&D and PMs for product specification/requirements correct understanding.
- Collaboration with Customer R&D experts and staff members responsible for operations at the production
- site, to support solution of issues found during bench or vehicle tests
Product Application support :
- Support all Product Application area (PAE) in technical exchanges with Customer.
- Organize regular weekly meetings with China PMs and VFA PAE engineers on vehicle application activities.
- Support PAE in local tuning sessions organization and participate to execution of product tuning vehicle tests.
- Support PAE for Customer vehicles functional problems solution.
Quality & Logistics support:
- Support Vodafone quality team for understanding and preparation of Customer specific quality documents.
- Support Vodafone in troubleshooting of product issues at Customer design center or in production line.
- Manage Customer claimed parts with Vodafone quality team.
- Support Vodafone logistic team in use of Customer order portals, solving locally order issues in native language.
- Support Vodafone Logistic team for Invoice and clearance issues clarification with Customer in native language.
Who you are
- Degree in Engineering /Information Management / Mechatronics / Project Management or equivalent courses.
- 3-5 years of experience in similar positions (particularly within the automotive industry, ideally tier-1)
- Good knowledge of Automotive Electronics industry, technologies and market.
- International experience
- Project Management
- Knowledge of automotive electronics technology and testing.
- Customer support for product troubleshooting.
