This role is focused on growing IQVIA’s Commercial Engagement Services business (CES) across our different commercial segments: Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health and MedTech.
IQVIA’s Commercial Engagement Services are a flexible way to meet fluid staffing requirements and needs for changing skills helping our customers to successfully realize their sales and marketing plans.

IQVIA offers three levels of support, on a project basis:
  • Dedicated Teams: IQVIA staff are assigned to work exclusively in support of one customer’s product or portfolio.
  • Syndicated Teams: members of a preconfigured team support multiple, non-competing products.
  • Flex sourcing: individuals fill vacancies or reinforce uncovered or underperforming territories.
Part of our integrated 360° approach, the CES offering is crucial for IQVIA’s capabilities to:
  • Analyze our customer’s go-to-market plan to ensure that it is optimized
  • Target and segment the audience to be reached most efficiently
  • Execute against the plan
  • Monitor and measure the effort
Your role:
  • You will team up with the existing Key Account Managers (KAMs) to cross- or up-sell this offering to their portfolio of (mainly) existing customers.
  • As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for all CES related commercial engagement across our market, this to achieve and exceed sales targets both quarterly and annually. This includes having qualification meetings, giving presentations educating about the CES offering (both internally and externally), answering RFP’s, assisting in price calculations, conduction contract negotiations, … up to chasing signed agreements and purchase orders (in collaboration with our KAMs).
  • You will actively work with our business development (pre-sales) resources in the Consulting department, who will support you in integrating your offering into bigger projects forming a 360° approach on product commercialization in the Belgian market.
  • Supported by the CES project managers, you will follow up on running projects to ensure that the projects you sold are delivered to a high standard of quality, allowing you to repeat business with these customers.
  • You will manage all CES related sales trackers for client opportunities in our CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Finally, you will help identifying and participate in opportunities to grow the CES offering and business.
  • To be successful in this role, you will need to acquire a thorough understanding of the market and critical success factors for product commercialization, as well as a solid knowledge IQVIA’s offering vs its competitors in this specific domain.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor level qualification, ideally in a science related discipline
  • Sales experience, with a proven record of achieving sales targets
  • Ideally, a previous experience in working with the commercial pharmaceutical, consumer health, MedTech or FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English
  • Experience in engaging with varying levels of client stakeholders, including senior management
  • Ability to assimilate knowledge of the above industries, their market conditions, successful product commercialization as well as the specific IQVIA offerings to support these.
  • Ability to succinctly summarize complex situations or offerings to customers and senior management stakeholders
  • Proficient in PC applications: MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word essential
  • Excellent qualification, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proven time management and personal organizational skills
