Our new Hemmant Box factory is almost fully staffed, and we will start production very shortly. We are actively interviewing and hiring, and we would love to hear from you.
The Hemmant factory is the most advanced Box factory in the Visy group. You will learn to operate and run some of the latest, automated box making technology in the southern hemisphere. We are hiring for long term permanent positions; we want to find people who will thrive and progress in our factories and overtime across the Visy group. Please if you are interested to learn more!
What will the role involve doing?
- The position will see you working in a team, responsible for running machines like our Corrugators, Die-Cutters, Inking Machines or Gluing Machines. You will start as an Assistant Machine Operator and progress to an experienced Operator overtime.
- The equipment will be all high-tech however it will have user interfaces to explain and support fault finding. Your role will involve running these machines to produce boxes, running batches to meet our client requirements.
- Every so often the machines will require different set up or tooling. Part of the role will involve working in the team to get everything set up, so production runs smoothly.
- Please do note that some of the machine tooling involved will weigh 35-40 kilos so you will need to feel comfortable lifting his weight from the ground.
- The factory will run Monday to Friday. Fixed Morning or Afternoon shifts.
Your background and experience:
- We are looking for individuals from a production environment; that may be a factory, a bakery, assembly facility or other production environment You will be experienced running machines to produce products.
- You will feel confident problem solving, work well in a team and have a drive to both progress your knowledge and achieve the best results for our clients.
- Physically fit and comfortable lifting 35-40 kilos regularly throughout the day as machines are set up and changed.
