Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) is Australia’s leading media entertainment company, home of LiSTNR and the Triple M & HIT networks. In 2021 we launched LiSTNR, a curated and personalised Audio-On-Demand destination. It is home to the Hit & Triple M networks, 25 music stations and over 500 podcasts. LiSTNR is Australia’s #1 podcast network reaching more than 6.2 million monthly listeners.
LiSTNR produces some of Australia’s most popular podcasts such as Hamish & Andy, The Howie Games and It’s a Lot with Abbie Chatfield as well as the original docu-series podcast, The Children in the Pictures.
We have a rare opportunity available to lead LiSTNR’s commercial digital audio strategy in the the position of Executive Head - LiSTNR Commercial.

What you’ll be doing:
- Refine and evangelize a compelling go to market strategy for LiSTNR
- Forge relationships at a senior level with key agency partners and clients to grow digital revenues
- Coach, mentor and develop teams to ensure they hit targets and are set up to succeed
- Oversee the development & growth of digital revenue across all Digital products including LiSTNR Streaming and Podcasts, SoundCloud, Sonos Radio, social media, video & display
- Develop new digital clients and build retention strategies; marketing strategies through customer needs analysis
- Develop campaigns and associated sales collateral to assist the radio sales teams in monetizing SCA’s digital audiences.
- Collaborate with radio/audio sales teams to develop multi-platform solutions whereby digital audio and social media integration is represented with expert-level knowledge and authority.
- Development & maintain high level relationships in digital agency teams & group trading desks
- Drive digital thought leadership and enhance digital credentials within the market.
- Be at the forefront of digital media trends with a focus on the future of audio.
Experience we’re looking for:
- 6+ years digital media experience in a sales or client focused role
- 4+ years management/leadership experience
- Extensive knowledge of digital media with an understanding of audio
- Expert level knowledge of programmatic transactions
- Superior presentation skills, communication and negotiation skills
- Digital agency & trading desk relationships essential
- Local and interstate market knowledge desired
