Position Summary

The Collections Coordinator assists the company will collecting customer payment in accordance with due dates.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
  • Investigate historical data for each debt or bill
  • Find and contact customers to ask about their overdue payments
  • Take actions to encourage timely debt payments
  • Process payments and refunds
  • Resolve billing and customer credit issues
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, policies, and procedural documents
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; and Microsoft Outlook.
